It is each FUJIFILM Associate's responsibility to consider individually, and collectively, actions necessary to reduce and/or eliminate burden on our site and in our community. Here at FUJIFILM, we subscribe to the Group Green Policy initiatives of:
- Meeting the needs of the present generation while preserving the environment for future generations.
- Designing and using environmental products that are safe, have less environmental impact, and are recyclable; maintaining the quality of site-wide activities that promote continuous improvement such as ISO 14001.
- Measuring the value of our products (sales growth) in relation to the resulting environmental impacts (waste generation, emissions, energy usage, etc.). Improving eco-efficiency will reduce environmental impacts and support our company's sustainable growth.
Goals for Fiscal Year 2007
Within Fiscal Year 2007 (April 2007 through March 2008), our site-wide goals and what each Associate must do to support the Group Green Policy initiatives are:
Reduce Emissions of Carbon Dioxide (resulting from electricity and natural gas usage)
- Turn off lights in unoccupied spaces
- Adjust and control thermostats in office areas and warehouses
- Control energy usage and efficiency of process equipment
Reduce waste and increase recycling
- Always place recyclable materials in designated containers instead of general trash
- Copy and print documents double-sided when possible
- Reduce print jobs that will eventually be disposed of
- Reuse, reclaim, and recycle materials
Increase EHS training conformance and compliance
- Improve education and awareness for energy conservation and recycling
- Attend all required trainings
